Shabby Patterns

Week #128
This weeks Shabby Tea Room challenge was to create a project using colors from the inspiration photo, and to include flowers and damask.

I made a tea bag holder/ card. I used the Time for Tea Bag template from My Time Made Easy  I used a damask patterned paper by DCWV, Wild Orchid roses, white ruffle trim, seam binding and a teapot charm. On the inside I used a Spellbinders die cut and stamped, 'Each time you have a cup of tea, I hope you"ll think of me'.  I embellished with more Wild Orchid roses, a pink flower button,  and an English Breakfast tea bag in each pocket.

For the Love of Books

This weeks challenge in The Shabby Tea Room was to create a project or card using cream, aqua, pink and newsprint. These books had such a vintage look that I decided to use a vintage phone that I cut out using my Cricut Sentiments cartridge. I embellished it with pearls and a glass bead with seam binding ribbon. I used white and peachy pink roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used a large satin cream ribbon, cream lace, cream pearls and a cream fabric rose.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Starfish

I found several patterns for crochet starfish but they didn't look right so I made it up as I went along. I used embroidery floss and glued an off white pearl in the center of each. I will be making more in new colors! I am going to try a few on my upcoming mermaid album kit and some hair clips:) These are available on ebay, ending July 27th. Thanks for looking!

Pretty in Pink

This weeks Shabby Tea Room challenge is to use colors from the inspiration photo and to include a flower. When I saw the picture of the glasses with pink lemonade I knew I had to use one of my pink acrylic buttons from Bazzill Basics for this card. My mom gave me a scrap from some old lace curtains that I used for center, I cut out the chandelier with my cricut, and the leaves are from a Martha Stewart punch and I painted the edges with some acrylic paint. I used hand dyed seam binding for ribbon and attached a mini tag that says 'best wishes' I have been looking at lots of shabby rooms with all white furniture so I wanted this card to be mostly white and simple. The tray looked metal so I wanted to include a metal corner but of course it had to be painted white!
Thanks for looking and have a great week!

You're Invited!

This weeks Shabby Tea Room challenge was to make an invitation inspired by the photo below.  I used Glitz Design Beautiful Dreamer paper with a doily and a cupcake tag from iralamijashop on Etsy. I used Martha Stewart punches, hand dyed and tea stained seam binding and bling. I painted the metal corner and 'You're Invited' is framed by a shabby resin frame.
Thanks for looking! Have a great day:)
