I saw this box at the Dollar Tree and knew I wanted to make a mini to fit inside. I love the springy pastel colors! I used bird tags from Iralamijashop (Etsy) and papers from My Minds Eye. I finally tried this binding technique after watching lots of videos on youtube. Take a peek at the pictures. For more details and photos please see the Ebay listing.

Pretty in Pink
This week's Shabby Tea Room Challenge was to create a project using the inspiration photo (below) and to use pink, ribbon/lace/tulle, and a flower.
I used Graphic 45's Secret Garden paper collection to make this card. I have had this tulle for a while and have been waiting for an opportunity to use it and I think it is perfect for this project. The bow is hand dyed and crinkled seam binding and the pink heart button sticker I found in the clearance section at Target. The butterfly punch is Martha Stewart and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Pink Party
Week #155
This week's Shabby Tea Room challenge is to create a project using the color and theme of the inspiration photo. I love this shabby photo! I focused on the oval frame, the banner, the pink and white flowers, and the bird of course! I made a mini chipboard album using Spellbinders Labels Seventeen. This makes it so easy to cut the chipboard and the paper and to get a perfect edge, no sanding to make it fit.
I used Pink Paislee's Spring Julbilee paper- I love the bring spring colors in this collection. I cut the triangles out of white cardstock and stamped them with pink text. The butterfly is cut from the paper collection and I added some Art Institute ultra fine Baby's Breath glitter (the best glitter!)
I painted the Melissa Frances oval frame with pink acrylic paint and then lightly sanded the edges. The bird is from Prima and the metal tag is Makin Memories.
The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and the shabby roses in the center of the frame are from Iralamijashop. The ribbon holding the album together is hand dyed seam binding. Thanks for looking! I will be listing this album on ebay this week if you would like to see more photos.

Sweet Silhouettes
For this week s Shabby Tea Room challenge I made a card using Prima Printery and a silhouette from Cricut's Sentimentals cartridge. I used my Spellbinders Label Seventeen to cut out the layers and the frame is painted chipboard. I used Wild Orchid flowers, a black feather and the butterfly is cut from Graphic 45 paper. I have never used a silhouette in a project before and it was fun to push myself to try something new!

Elegance
Week #148
This week's Shabby Tea Room challenge is to create a card or project inspired by the colors in the photo and to include ribbon/a bow and a flower.
This photo made me think of a wedding and I knew I wanted to use something from Webster's Pages In Love. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the birds on the wedding cake and embellished it with blue glitter and mini white roses. I used a heart shaped doily, hand dyed seam binding, white and blue flowers, a white leaf, white lace, white pearls, and a chipboard sticker that says 'Bliss'.
Thanks for looking:)

Cold Days
This paper bag pocket gift set was made using Fancy Pants Winterland paper collection. This is my favorite winter paper! I love the pale pinks and blues. It's so shabby! The paper bag pocket holds a double sided tag- one side says 'Let it Snow' and the other is blank for a message. It also has a gift card holder. The tags I used came with the paper collection. I used pink and blue flowers and white leaves that have been covered in glitter. It makes them look so snowy! I added a hand dyed seam binding bow with a glittered snowflake button and a glittered pink button with pink baker's twine. Gluing glitter on buttons is my newest addiction! My favorite glitter is Art Institute because it is so fine and sparkly. You can find it on ebay. This paper bag pocket gift set makes a great gift for any occassion.
